Facebook App For Android Gets Updated

Probably the most popular and widely used app all over the smartphone users- Facebook updated version has hit Google Play recently. The new version brings improved performance and various bug fixes; more messaging features like creating group messages and adding friends to existing group conversations and shortcuts to share photos and messages right from your home screen.

The official app of the largest social network on earth 800 million or so users has brought the usual array of bug fixes and performance enhancements, but interestingly, there’s now a direct shortcut to the  Facebook Messenger chat app and Camera sharing from the home screen. These two features had been missing in the previous versions, thus the app will now be more convenient to use than ever.

With the recent Instagram purchase for a cool billion dollars the Facebook app focuses on photo sharing more than ever, with the Camera sharing feature allows users to skip straight to the photo sharing tools within the Facebook app.

The enactment of the Messenger icon onto the home screen is also of importance, since it has been simplified to a level whereby you can now perhaps do away with the separate app. It was a bizarre decision on Facebook’s part to introduce an isolated app for IM, but this most recent enhancement to the chat makes Facebook app for Android significantly convenient. Moreover, the notifications have been advanced so they’re faster too.

Once you get updated, do not hesitate to come back and share your thoughts about the upgraded version of Facebook App for Android devices.
